I’m sure I’m not alone when I say I LOVE podcasts, especially ones I can learn from. One of my favourite topics to learn about is nutrition, but all the junk science out there makes it tricky to find reliable information. Luckily, these 3 nutrition myth-busting podcasts are here to help!
I’ve put together a collection of my favourite nutrition podcasts to help you clarify the facts and sort out the BS. Learn from educated professionals as they bust health myths and uncover evidence-based nutrition information. The best part? You can listen and learn from (almost) anywhere!
These 3 nutrition myth-busting podcasts have been helpful for me, and I hope they can be for you as well. Enjoy!
No BS Nutrition Podcast (with Tareq Yousef & Hannah Magee RD)
We’re starting out strong here, because if I could recommend just one nutrition myth-busting podcast, this would be it!
No BS Nutrition may be my all-time favourite podcast…like, ever. I’ve been listening since early 2020, and have learned so much in what’s really been a short amount of time!
Neuroscience PhD student Tareq Yousef and registered dietitian Hannah Magee bring such great energy and enthusiasm to every episode, and are super knowledgeable when it comes to evidence-based science and calling out nutrition BS. Not to mention, they are super entertaining (i.e. if you hear me laughing to myself for no apparent reason, there’s a large chance I’m either listening to No BS Nutrition or recalling something someone said on No BS Nutrition).
Body Stuff Podcast (with Dr. Jen Gunter)
This is a newer podcast hosted by OB-GYN Dr. Jen Gunter that discusses not only how our bodies work, but the societal forces that shape our thoughts around health.
Body Stuff is not necessarily nutrition-specific, but does a really great job of busting general health myths and demystifying how our bodies work.
Diet Culture Rebel Podcast (with Bonnie Roney)
I am a new listener to this podcast, and so far am loving it! Bonnie Roney is a registered dietitian and Certified Intuitive Eating Counsellor that focuses on eating without guilt, ditching diet culture, and fighting weight stigma.
I love how Bonnie combines intuitive eating with body image and really focuses on the mental side of food and nutrition. She keeps things honest and real, which I (and I’m sure many others) really appreciate!
That’s all for now! I hope you enjoy these 3 nutrition myth-busting podcasts – I’ll continue to update and add to this list, so stay tuned.
Thanks for reading, and happy podcast listening!
